Fur is a hide with hair in it, and it accumulates dust, oils and everyday pollutants the same way skin does. Left untreated, it dries out, loses its luster and starts to deteriorate faster than most owners expect. That is why annual cleaning matters as much as any single repair. We built our own process specifically for fur rather than adapting a dry-cleaning process to it, and every garment moves through the same five steps here on Livonia Ave.

How the cleaning actually happens
Five steps, in this order, every time.
Initial Inspection
We assess the condition of the garment, identify any damage, check for stains, and determine whether a repair should happen before cleaning does.
Stain Removal and Lining Care
The fur and the lining are treated separately. Linings pick up body oils, makeup and general contaminants that the pelt never sees.
Oils and Conditioning Treatment
We put the essential oils back into the skin. A fur that loses its oils is a fur that starts to dry and crack.
Professional Glazing
Glazing is what revives the shine, smooths the fur down and restores the soft finish a new coat has.
Final Inspection
Our own specialists check the finished garment for quality and cleanliness before it goes back to you.

The inspection is free. What we find determines the rest.
Many clients pair a cleaning with a repair or a small restyling while the garment is already here. If we find wear during the inspection, we give a complimentary estimate on the spot rather than surprising you with it later.
